Heh.

I don't know how, kid, but you managed to hit all the right buttons with this flash. The comedic timing was excellent, and the jokes in the background really helped. The drawing style was a perfect balance of simple and whimsical. As for your voice, well, it wasn't great, but the quality is clean and you enunciate well. I imagine you'll grow into it in a few years.

Overall, you seem like a promising flash artist with plenty of potential for growth. Keep at it.

JulianCheese responds:

Thanks - decided I'd put more effort into easter eggs.

And yes, I know my voice is vocal garbage, but I think it might have just sounded weird this once.

Really blurry.

Not for nothing, but do you think you could use just the original animation instead of the .avi version you made for YouTube? It looks really blurry this way.

Fantastic.

Top-notch animation, great voice acting, compelling plot, interesting characters... this flash gets perfect scores across the board.

Except, well, I need to deduct one-quarter of a point for the ending being rather anticlimactic. But the score still rounds to 10, so you're good.

The scrolling is badly programmed.

I'm having too much difficulty navigating this tutorial because every time I press a key, it skips through several screens at a time. If I try to go back, I'll keep overshooting. The only way I can use this is if I tap the key as quickly as humanly possible, and even then it doesn't always work.

Your spelling needs work.

What I find most distressing is the fact that the most spelling errors occur in the first part, which is basically a word-for-word reproduction of the original commercial (which is presented entirely in written words). You could have very easily compared your in-progress work to the original, side-by-side, to catch any spelling errors, and you didn't.

It reeks of laziness.

Rynious responds:

Dude, the is no spelling errors. You might Think there is because the words are handwritten and a little unclear. But if you had seen the original commercial you would understand a bit better on why I hand wrote it

Very cute, and just slightly disturbing.

It was a rather enjoyable journey through the existential crisis of a little pink bug. The pacing was a little off sometimes, and the music didn't fit very well with the action on-screen (gentle piano music while feasting on a bird's corpse, anyone?). But I liked the chamber of extinction at the end.

I'd just like to know, whose hourglass did she break?

What.

The above text is my exact reaction, word-for-word. Your humor tends to be random, but this was so far beyond anything I could ever imagine. Hell, I still can't imagine it, and I just finished watching it.

As an aside, I'm actually glad you decided to do something besides Justin Bieber humor, because to be honest, I know absolutely nothing about him other than that he's currently the internet's whipping boy.
